The aims of EJGS are to become a leading international peer-reviewed academic journal that encompasses major research areas of geology, geochemistry, hydrology, hydrogeology, petroleum sciences, environmental management, climate and environment, paleo-environments, physical geography, GIS and remote sensing, geophysics, mineralogy, tectonics, sedimentology, paleontology, environmental geology, petrology, natural risks (earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, droughts…), volcanology, geo-archaeology, oceanography, geo-tourism, geomorphology, geodesy, glaciology, soil sciences, speleology and paleoecology. The scope of the journal is not limited to these subjects or research areas, any other topic related to Geosciences can be submitted.
Interdisciplinary research and communication between diverse expert communities drives the creation of the future technologies. EJGS is commissioned with a view to creating new knowledge, nursing young researchers, making bridge between naïve and experience researchers, acting as a catalyst to promote and share innovation, works, and achievements to go beyond! Geoscience research is highly related to earth resources exploration, development and management; it also deals with disasters, climate change and interaction between human and natural phenomenon. Mitigation of natural hazards, resource management and cost effective environment friendly technology is a crying need for sustainable development. To win over the upcoming challenge, government and people of all classes should work hand in hand to make this planet as a better living place for future generation.
